I got a bunch of requests to do a deck profile on this deck from our latest FBo1 video. I'm going to keep it short and sweet, but I just wanted to explain why I made this deck, and why it's built the way it is.
First of all, the leader: Chilled // Chilled Harbinger of Destruction
I always try and find ways to mess around with this leader. He has such a unique skill. If he drew on his unawakened side and was 15k base on awakened, I think we'd see him around, but alas, he doesn't. Chilled plays a Chilled's Army Token every time he attacks. They're pretty underwhelming at 10k and you can't combo with them, but they provide early pressure, and also synergise amazingly well with Ultra Instinct Goku, Monumental Presence from DB5.
I run 3 of these, although I think upping them to 4 is probably a good idea, It's strong removal + a 20k crit body for 2 energy, which is pretty darn good. The reason it's fun in this deck is it's pretty much a guaranteed turn 2 play. If you go first you can play a 1 drop skill less and then attack to get a token turn 2, then play this for 2. If you go second you don't even need to play a skill less card! Speaking of, I run 4x Caway and 4x Ganos as my 1 drops.
These are pretty meh by themselves, but with some of the other tools in the deck, they can really pack a punch. The first of these is Champa, Destruction Augmented, of which I run 3.
This guy is essentially our wincon. He makes those measly 1 drop skill less battle cards 20k double strikers. Not to mention a lot of our other key cards are gods or aliens! If you don't have enough bodies on board when you're ready to pump them with this guy, you can use Universe 4, Assemble! to bring two more out for 1 energy.
I run 3. It's a great value play on your kill turn.
Moginan, Alien Bonds is another card that helps your puny aliens become big threats. It can buff an alien during battle by 10k to force damage or removal, and it can protect your board on your opponent's turn. He also becomes a 20k ds with champas skill. I run 3. Another card that helps push damage through is Frieza, Death's Embrace.
2 of these is enough. Having one of these on board for that extra pressure, board control and also defense, can be the difference between winning and losing.
Our "searchers" are 2x Kuru, Proud Supremacy & 3x Worthy Warrior Kefla. Kuru gets you 2 cards to hand from your drop, and Kefla is a top 7 searcher for TWO skill less battle cards. Much Value. These both become 15k DS cards on board with champa which is really nice.
Our self Awakeners are 3x Intensifying Power Trunks and 4x Saiyan Cabba. These are self explanatory, but the Cabba also acts as a 15k ds with champa if needed.
Our supercombos are a 2:2 split with Whis, Celestial Moderator & Botamo, Defender of Universe 6. The Whis helps push through damage or acts as removal, and the botamo is just when you need a draw. I chose Botamo because it's a 10k, which matters when we get Jiren, Shackles of the Past on the board. We run 2 of the Jiren.
I've always wanted to play this bloke. It's such an interesting card, and can be a game ender. Even if it's removed, it gives your opponent something they NEEDto deal with, which can disrupt their plans.
We have a few different Counter cards in this deck. 3x Android 17, Rebel Reinforcements, 3x Toppo, Righteous Aid & 2x Time Magic. 17 is great to bring back Frieza for extra defense, or one of your many other 1 drops in this deck. Toppo needs no explanation. I added Time Magic because even though we generally don't have yellow energy, having a sparking negate can be clutch.
The obligatory Draft Box staple Great Ape Goku, Saiyan Instincts is run as a 2 of. I feel like any deck is better with this card - sadly.
That's it. It's just a bit of fun. In this strage time, I've been spending my days making weird and wonderful decks. They aren't competitive most of the time, but I have a lot of fun taking them online and getting wins because my opponent's don't know what to expect. I hope you enjoy it!
